About Kaya

We tried to start our own home-based business, and honestly, we couldn’t find anything built for it.

Everything out there assumed you already had it figured out, or wanted a cut before you’d made a single sale. So we ended up building the thing we actually needed.

Here’s what we believe: starting shouldn’t require a plan. It should just be safe to try — see if people actually want what you’re making, with nothing to lose if it stays a weekend thing forever.

Honestly, that’s a fine place to land. For some people it’s the whole story. For others, it turns into something bigger — going full-time, maybe even a shop of their own one day. We’re not going to ask you to know which one you are yet. Kaya works either way.

What actually stops most people isn’t the cooking, or the sewing, or whatever it is they make — it’s everything around it. Getting found, taking orders, getting paid, remembering who still owes you money. That’s the boring part, and it’s the part we handle, so the focus stays on making what excites you.

And even if you’re already selling somewhere else and don’t need to be found, it still works. Strip away the listing and it’s just a free order tool underneath — requests, payment status, pickup times, a menu that’s actually organized, all in one place.

Kaya is open to makers now; browsing for seekers comes later. Until then Kaya is for makers: set up a shop, publish it and share the link.
